The Tiger's Apprentice

This book jumps into a fighting scene. Tom, the main character, comes home from school to meet a man on his doorstep. Tom thinks the man has a disguise on, so he takes away the spell to see a tiger in a suit and tie. Then, after his grandmom explains about the tiger being her friend, Tom is , once again, shaken up to see a bunch of monsters flying towards the house. He and the Tiger escape the battle, but Tom is frustrated and demands answers. So, the tiger explains that the Guardians, Tom's grandmom and now the tiger, protect a sacred item, that contains much power. The "ultimate" bad guy is named Vatten, because that sacred item can destroy the world. Read the book to know what happens. 184 pages. double pages.    

Child of the owl

This fantastic novel, by Lawrence Yep, springs to life as Casey, at age 12, is sneaked in the hospital where her dad is kept "hostage". Her dad tried to gamble his and her daughter's way to victory, and does, but is attacked and sent to where he is now. Now, because of this Casey has to go to live with her grandmother named Paw-Paw. Casey is always felling lost, whether in the streets or in school, Casey fells one step behind everybody else. Then Paw-Paw tells Casey about her mother, and an ancient legend. The story tells about how Casey and Paw-Paw's family's are "children of the owl". Then, Someone sends Paw-Paw reeling into the hospital and steals the owl charm. Who did it? The Janitor's Boy

The story, written by Andrew Clements, launches off into action, as Jack does a very evil crime, during school hours!?!?!? Jack, after doing months of "research", he has about 11 pieces of gum, that he sticks underneath a school desk. He gets punished for doing the act, and had to help his dad, the janitor at his school, do messy jobs for 2 WEEKS! After Jack gets know his dad better, he gets stuck in a soundproof basement and the door only opens one way! Read the book to know more!  140 pages

 The book I just read was called I AM DAVID. It tells about a young boy named David in a concentration camp. At the beginning, David escapes the concentration camp with the help of a man. david gets away with a compass and a bottle of water. He traveled until he found a ship, which he hid away in and got out in Italy. He is still haunted by the memory of the concentration camp and was worrying about
them or the Nazis. WHAT WILL HE DO NEXT!?!?!?!?!?!?!? ( 239 pages)

The Landry News is about a girl making a newspaper that enrages a teacher. The Teacher, Mr. Larson, Doesn't teach, but after that newspaper incident, he got his show on the road.
